M2L has been selected by the Houston Parks Board to design a 3.1 mile section of Sims Bayou from Buffalo Speedway east to Beltway 8 and then connecting to the Houston Sports Park to the north. This section of Sims Bayou starts at Townwood Park, a previously designed project by M2L, and runs along the northern bank. An elevated spoils area east of Almeda Road provides panoramic views of the bayou and downtown Houston.
