Michael P. Mauer, ASLA, Senior Principal
Mr. Mauer is a Landscape Architect with 26 years of broad professional experience in the design and planning of large and small scale residential, commercial, urban design, parks &  recreation, and hotel & resort projects.  He is Principal in Charge of Design and has a wide range of experience in both land planning and landscape architectural projects including those involving multidisciplinary project teams.  Mr. Mauer has been a valuable contributor on many large scale projects as well as providing leadership to teams of architects and engineers on numerous projects including the Third Ward To Main street Connectivity Project, Houston Parks to Standards (60 City parks, $30,000,000 in construction), the Sharpstown Environmental Master Plan, and the OST/Griggs Road ROW projects.  Communication is an important aspect of the firm’s public work and Mr. Mauer has frequently been called upon to lead public outreach efforts associated with community design workshops and interaction with project stakeholders.

Mr. Mauer is a true steward of the land and holds arborist and green roof professional certifications to go along with his expertise in landscape architecture and planning.   He brings a sensible approach to the protection of the environment and has worked with numerous engineers providing tree preservation services for corridor infrastructure projects.  He directs the firms application of low impact development techniques for many of the firm’s projects.

Karen W. Rogers, ASLA, Principal
Ms. Rogers  is  a Landscape Architect  and  Land Planner with greater than 29 years of experience in park planning, land use planning, plan processing, commercial, residential  and  institutional landscape architecture projects in Texas, and California. She is the company liaison for regulatory compliance regarding both planning and landscape architecture projects dealing with governmental agencies such as Texas Parks and Wildlife, TxDOT, other state and local counties, municipalities and federal agencies. Ms. Rogers is leading M2L’s efforts in sustainable design and is a LEED accredited professional.  Her experience in both design and project management of multi-use land projects has provided her with the capability of handling complex multidisciplinary projects.  Ms. Rogers has gained invaluable management and community facilitation skills working on projects in Houston, Mont Belvieu, Orange, Alvin, Missouri City, and Rosenberg.  Ms. Rogers served as Project Lead for City of Sugar Land Parks Needs Assessment and City of Alvin Parks Master Plan utilizing her extensive project management experience in design, construction documentation, and field observation 

Ms. Rogers serves as M2L’s president, office manager, and director of planning.

 

 Wen-Ping Hung, Principal
Ms. Hung is a talented landscape designer who serves M2L’s  assistant  design director and has managed many of M2L’s  large scale, multi-project engagements including the Third Ward To Main street Connectivity Project,  Houston Parks to Standards(60 City parks,  $30,000,000 in construction), and the OST/Griggs Road ROW projects. She has significant experience in dealing with various local and state agencies including the cities of Houston, Freeport, Galveston, & Houston, METRO, and Texas Department of Transportation. In addition,

Ms. Hung serves M2L’s marketing director. Ms. Hung is a certified Health Systems and Design.

 

Daphne Lynn Mauer. Principal 
Ms. D. Lynn Mauer has over 24 years of accounting experience gained through the public accounting and private industry.  Ms. Mauer spent twelve years in audit at Deloitte & Touche, a Big 8 Public Accounting Firm, serving large publicly traded clients as well as health care providers.  She worked in the capacity of Manager and Senior Manager of audit teams, comprising staff from one to eight people.  In 1997 Ms. Mauer moved into industry and took over the accounting functions at M2L Associates, Inc.  She has continued in this capacity as Chief Financial Officer and most recently adding Principal responsibilities as the Company has grown from four to ten employees.
