M2L Associates is pleased to introduce the newest member of our team, landscape designer Malinali Jimenez. Mali comes to us from the prestigious landscape architecture program at Texas A&M University. Since earning her bachelor’s degree in 2020, Mali has been busy working as a researcher for the university, honing new design and planning skills with Rubiano Commercial, and becoming a licensed irrigator.
Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, Mali’s love of gardening and design was nurtured early on as she helped her father create designs and develop ideas for gardens he built as a local landscaping business owner. When she discovered there was a profession that incorporated her passion for both design and architecture, she knew landscape architecture “was the perfect career” for her.
“Mali’s excitement and energy to contribute will be a huge asset and allow her to hit the ground running for our clients right away,” said M2L Principal Lynn Mauer. “We’re so happy to welcome her to Houston and to our M2L family.”
For her part, Mali said she was drawn to M2L’s great office environment and impressive body of work — and the opportunity she would have at M2L to learn and immediately contribute to creating impactful spaces across Houston and the Gulf Coast.
“My goal in life is to be able to make a mark in the world, which is why I aspire to contribute to designing green spaces that can impact people, places and future development,” she said. “Living and working in Houston will allow me to meet my goals and fulfill my passions, which is why I’m excited to work here at M2L!”
