The City of Austin recently certified M2L Associates as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), the company announced, allowing the firm to provide even greater benefit when partnering with architects and engineers throughout greater Austin.
Since 1995 M2L Associates has brought a winning combination of landscape architecture and design expertise, project execution, and sustainability commitment to projects of all sizes and scopes. In 2021 the firm opened an office in Austin to support project partners and service growth segments across the region.
The Austin WBE certification assists on both fronts, said M2L Associates President Karen Rogers. “We’re thrilled to receive this certification from the City of Austin and appreciate the expanded opportunity the recognition affords us,” she said. “When M2L expanded to Austin, we looked forward to bringing our proven experience to more partners and projects seeking expertise in the region’s challenging ecosystem and topography.”
In addition, today’s expanded definition of sustainability means companies are finding new ways to connect their corporate environmental performance with social and governance metrics, an often-undervalued benefit according to M2L Principal and Chief Financial Officer Lynn Mauer.

M2L also earned the WBE designation from the City of Houston, as a Texas Statewide Historically Underutilized Business, and through the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (includes Dallas–Fort Worth) and the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency.
